Sorry to have that as topic, but seriously... How the **** do I cap hundred blades from the undead rurik these days??

I mean, my SoC (signet of capture) doesn't even cast when it's not near a dead boss, and the boss (undead price Rurik) is gone straight after the cinematic that shows as soon as you have killed him.

So how in the darn name of holy jesus can I capture it from him?!

Sorry about my language, but I just killed him for the 4th time today trying to get that skill and still didn't work. I'm about as pissed as a guy can get (do I really have to capture it in the other campaigns to get it nowadays?!). I mean, what does a-net think with if that's their idea of bringing in core skills to the other campaigns? That those without them aren't ever gonna get them from the core game?

Hope someone can answer this as soon as possible, and I hope nobody is offended by my language here. But really, wouldn't you be pretty mad in your head if you've been doing this last mission over and over for 4 times (both mission and bonus) with different teams? If anyone can answer me this I'll get a 5th party, but until I get some answers I'm not even thinking about going a 5th time. :P

After the cut scene just go back and get it.

After the cut scene, you're transported up the path a little ways. Look at your U map and you'll see where you need to run back to.

Sorry, but I did try to run back to the exact location I killed him at...

...and still says that there's no dead boss around...

2 of the times I've done it now there was another warrior who wanted it too, but couldn't get it so it can't just be me.. :/

This almost makes me sad in a way...

Do you have Factions or Nightfall? If you are having a hard time in Prophecies get it in Factions (Sunjiang District) or in Nightfall (Depths of Madness). Its really easy to cap it in those places.

I found it stupid hard to capp HB in Factions as he was always the last one they fought and the explorable area was harder even with henches.

As for Rurik, I'd take note of where he died as said above. If it doesn't work in one area, try another area nearby. Try the hilly thingy he started on. Try the area where you first met him if he had to run down to kill you. Scan the entire immediate area before giving up.

I managed to get off my cap sig before the cut scene. As far as capping in Elona, I want it for Koss with my Ritualist, who has completed both Prophecies and Factions but has a long way to go before it can be captured in Nightfall. So, maybe the suggestion for the Nightfall capture isn't valid for others in my situation.

Something is wrong with this picture. I've capped HB four times with four diff chars and I never failed to find Ruriks body by going back a bit for it. Either you have hit a bug of some kind, or you aren't going back to exactly the right spot. I've always seen his body still laying there, right where he died.

Thats what I was thinking too. Hell, my necros capped Hundred Blades! All I can think is youre somehow out of range, or it is in fact, an intermittent bug.

if i remember right (haven't done mission in ages so i'm not sure) he was with a group and you had to kill the whole group before cutscene, why don't you just kill him first before the other and then cap?

I tried this three times, and he didn't spawn with the group of four. I gave up, since I'm using axes now, anyway.

This is where I capped HB, and I didn't really have a problem. I think getting it in the mission is a little bit easier than the explorable area. I forgot to get it in the mission so I was sort of forced to get it in the explorable. I recommend to put a bow on your character and you can pull the mobs away from the construct. If you have a heros, bring a minion master (makes things easier).
